what is integrated solar street light and how to choose integrated solar street light?
1 Main functional components of integrated solar street lamp?
integrated solar street light is also known as all in one solar street light .
The main functional components of integrated solar street lamp are solar panel, battery, controller and LED module. The LED module determines the brightness of the lamp, the solar panel determines how much electric energy can be produced every day, and the battery determines how long the integrated solar street lamp can work continuously. The controller is used to control the lighting mode of street lamps.
2 How to determine each component when purchasing an integrated solar street light?
controller:
First, we need to know the application scenarios of street lamps from customers, including parks, pedestrian streets, roads or highways. Because of the park and pedestrian street lamp scene, street lamps mainly serve pedestrians, and roads and highways mainly serve vehicles. Integrated street lamps equipped with sensors are suitable for parks, pedestrian streets and other places. Because pedestrians walk slowly, the sensors have enough time to adjust the brightness to meet the needs of pedestrians. On highways and expressways, vehicles travel fast, the sensor has not responded, and the vehicle has left the sensing range. Therefore, time-sharing lighting mode is more suitable for highways and expressways.
Park and pedestrian street (sensing mode): when pedestrians enter the sensing area, the street lamps enter the 100% full power lighting mode. When pedestrians leave the sensing area, the street lamps enter the 30% power state after 30s. Of course, the power here can be set according to customer requirements. For example, when pedestrians enter the sensing area, 90% power lights and 80% power lights can be set. The delay time of 30s can also be changed according to customer requirements, within 0-180s.
Roads and highways (time-sharing mode): for example, the lights are on at 80% power in the first six hours, 50% in the next four hours and 30% in the last two hours. This is the time-sharing mode, so that the brightness will be fixed within the set time and will not be changed by the traffic flow. Of course, the time allocation and power size of time-sharing mode can be set according to customer requirements.
Of course, if customers require time-sharing mode in parks and pedestrian streets, it is entirely possible. Therefore, we first confirm with the customer whether to adopt induction mode or time-sharing mode. Whether the customer has the lighting mode they need.
LED module:
How high does the customer need to be installed? Generally, it can be installed within 60W at a height of three to five meters, within 80W at a height of five to ten meters, and 100W and 120W at a height of more than ten meters.
battery:
The battery size is calculated according to the LED module size and light on time selected by the customer.
For example: the size of the module is 80W. The lamp is turned on at 80% power for the first 6 hours, 50% for the next 4 hours, and 30% for the last two hours. Then the consumption in one night will be 80W * 80% * 6h + 80W * 50% * 4H + 80W * 30% * 2H = 592wh. If you want to reach two rainy days, the size of the battery is 592wh * 2 = 1184wh. If the system voltage is 12V, the battery is also 12V, so 1184wh = 1184wh / 12V = 98ah. If the system voltage is 24V, then 1184wh = 1184wh / 24V = 49ah
We can see that in this case, if the system voltage is 12V, the required battery size is 12V 98ah. If the system voltage is 24V, the required battery size is 24V 49ah
So what is the difference between 12V 98ah battery and 24V 49ah battery. The lithium battery used in the integrated street lamp is assembled by many lithium battery cells. For example, if the size of a lithium battery cell is 3V 3ah, to reach the voltage of 12V, four lithium battery cells need to be connected in series, but the series connection will not increase the capacity of the battery. Four 3V 3ah lithium batteries in series will become 12V 3ah lithium batteries. To reach the capacity of 98ah, 33 sets of batteries need to be connected in parallel, so a total of 4 * 33 = 132 lithium battery cells need to be assembled in one piece.
If it is a 24V 49ah battery, 8 * 17 = 136 cells need to be assembled in one piece. Therefore, the cost of 12V 98ah battery and 24V 49ah battery is similar.
Generally, in low-power street lamps below 120W and ordinary configurations, we will use 12V system voltage and battery voltage because it is safer. In the case of high power above 120W and full power configuration, we will use 24V system voltage and battery voltage. In this way, the system current will be smaller and the heating of street lamps will be less, which is more beneficial to the service life of parts.
Solar panel:
After determining the size of the battery, we will determine how large the solar panel needs. For example, in the previous case, we needed a 12V 98ah battery, so our solar panel needs to fully charge the battery in a day and a half. As mentioned above, 12V 98ah = 1184wh, that is to say, solar panels need to generate so much electricity in a day and a half. The daily power generation time of solar panels is 4 to 5 hours. A day and a half is regarded as 7 hours of working time, so the size of the panel is 1184wh / 7h = 169W. Considering the power generation efficiency and system loss of the panel, the size of the solar panel needs to be about 180W.
Summary: the above is how to determine the parameters of solar street lamps required by customers step by step.
Parameter false:
However, we can see that there is a difference between the battery and solar panel calculated according to the theory and the parameter table of the actual quotation. We compared the parameters of almost all manufacturers in the 80W integrated solar street lamp market. Basically, the solar panel will not exceed 100W and the battery will not exceed 60ah, but this is far from the theoretical calculation, Theoretically, 180W solar panels and 98ah batteries are required. Why is that? Because the 80W integrated solar street lamps marked on the market are generally about 40W. Why does everyone make a false parameter?
First, if it is configured completely according to the parameters calculated in theory, the cost is too high and the market competitiveness is too low. Second, with the continuous improvement of LED chip technology, the brightness of 40W LED chip can reach the brightness of 80W LED chip a few years ago. Why don't manufacturers change the virtual 80W into the real 40W together, because the integrated solar street lamp product is not a fully mature industry, and there is no organization to formulate a unified standard. If other manufacturers use the false bid parameter of 80W when quoting, and we use the real bid parameter of 40W, the customer will ask us why the price of 80W from other factory is the same as that of 40W from your factory. We explain to the customer that the 80W from other factory is only 40W, but not all customers have the patience to listen to your explanation, Most customers will choose 80W of others' virtual bid instead of 40W of our real bid. This is a very realistic problem. However, this also brings confusion to many customers. When they get the product for test, customers will wonder why the voltage is so less than that in the parameter table. In fact, the voltage reduction is only to make the battery discharge more lasting, and it is not that manufacturers deliberately cut corners or use inferior products.
We need a unified organization to enable all manufacturers to implement the parameters.
Customers often ask questions
1. After the product is obtained, the voltage is still lower than the actual standard
A: for the safety of transportation, the integrated solar street lamp will not be fully charged when leaving the factory, only about 20-30% of the electricity. In the intelligent mode, if the electricity is less than 50%, the system will automatically reduce the voltage. Therefore, after getting the street lamp, the customer needs to fully charge the street lamp first, so that the output voltage and current can reach the actual standard parameters.
2 will water enter the product
A: our products have undergone numerous waterproof tests. First of all, the integrated solar street lamp will have an inclined angle during installation. Rainwater will flow down the street lamp. Generally, no water will enter the lamp body. Even if a very small amount of water enters the lamp body, it will flow out of the opening at the tail and will not enter the LED module from the inside. Moreover, the internal components of our street lamps are waterproof, so even if the rain enters the interior of the lamp body, it will not hurt the lamp. Moreover, we provide three-year and five-year warranty for our products, so don't worry about product quality.
3 number of LED chips and modules
A: our LED beads can use 3030 chip or 5050 chip according to customer requirements. Generally, we will use Bridgelux 3030 chip with power between 0.2W and 1W. For example, the actual power of 100W street lamp is about 60W, so we use 240 lamp beads, and the luminous power of each lamp bead is 0.25W, which can greatly increase the service life of the lamp beads. Each module has 40 light beads, which requires 6 modules. In the past, we used 160 lamp beads and four modules, but each lamp bead needs to operate at higher power, which will reduce the service life of the lamp bead. We increased the number of lamp beads to reduce the luminous power of each lamp bead.
For another example, the actual power of 120W street lamp is about 70W. At this time, we will still use 240 lamp beads and six modules to increase the luminous power of each lamp bead to about 0.3w.
96 lamp beads and 2 modules are generally used under 30W
30w-50w is generally 144 lamp beads, 2 or 3 modules
50w-80w is generally 160 lamp beads and 4 modules
80w-120w is generally 240 lamp beads and 6 modules
4 size and weight of lamp and bracket
A: the size of the lamp is mainly determined by the size of the solar panel. See our parameter table for details. The weight is mainly determined by the size of the battery and the size of the lamp shell, which should be determined according to the customer's demand for battery size. Similarly, the size and weight of the bracket should also be determined according to the weight of the lamp body. We will customize the appropriate bracket according to the weight of the lamp body. Therefore, the weight of the lamp and the size and weight of the support are often different from those in the parameter table.
5 how to set the light on time and remote control
A: the lighting time needs to be determined according to the street lamp installation occasion and customer requirements. For details, please refer to the description of the controller above. There is an on key, a demo key and four other mode keys in the remote control. When you press the demo key, the street lamp will enter the factory setting. That is, the mode we set for our customers. You can also use the other four keys to select your desired mode. When you want to return to the factory settings, just press the demo key. As for the delay of induction, if the customer does not require it, our default factory setting is 30s, that is, when pedestrians leave the induction area, the street lights will switch brightness after 30s. Of course, the customer can arbitrarily select the required induction delay within 0-180s, such as 60s and 100s. We will set these for customers when they leave the factory. If the customer wants to change the induction delay after receiving the goods, he needs to contact our technician, because if there is an error in the setting, the controller program will be disordered. We still need the direct guidance of our technicians.
6 warranty period
A: we offer three-year and five-year warranty. The five-year warranty period is subject to an additional charge of US $30 on the basis of the three-year warranty period.
7 radiator
A: according to our long-term test, the integrated solar street lamps within 12V and below 120W do not need to be equipped with a radiator, because our LED chip will not generate much heat. The radiator has no effect here, and will increase the size and weight and increase the cost.
8 solar panel single crystal or polycrystalline
A: we use single crystal special solar panels, because it is more difficult to replace parts for integrated solar street lamps than ordinary split solar street lamps, so we will use the best parts to reduce the problem of product parts replacement.
